Chemistry 30 - Is it Really an Existent Class?Does Chemistry 30 actually exists? Why did it even have to exist? You see, chemistry is a science that deals with the chemical make up of a substance. Structural is what your breath tells you when you look at a substance. Functional, which is used in the study of matter that may have an outside influence, such as plants that absorb carbon dioxide from the air.Thermodynamic refe rs to how the temperature of a substance changes as it is changed. This is very important because, as our bodies are constantly changing and evolving, our environment changes. A material which is stable can allow you to study its properties without having to change it. On the other hand, one that is unstable or that doesn't return to its original state will likely require a change in the material's physical state before you can study it.Kinetic refers to how rapidly something moves through the system. Things that move faster or slower than the speed of light can be studied by looking at the properties of their velocity. For example, water molecules have a higher energy than air molecules when they are moving.The study of atoms in different elements, then, begins at the atomic level. How these atoms interact with each other and how those interactions affect the physical properties of substances is what is studied in the next section of the unit test. These properties include forces, particles, bonds, vibrations, and rotations.The study of atoms, then, is directly related to how's chemical reactions are brought about. In chemistry, substances are broken down or reformed in order to produce new substances. Thus, each substance must have a unique set of properties.
